gerard-3005 alias Gerhard Cramer, born 1951-30-05 in Borken (Hessen).

now residing in 63110 Rodgau, Nieder Roden.

As a 5 year old I discovered my creative urge and transformed the most expensive wood in my father's carpentry workshop on the carving bench with the carving tool into wooden trolleys, wooden tractors and other toys. I liked it, my father not at all.

I improved my pocket money during my school days (high school 1971) by designing posters of
Che Guevara and Marsha Hunt and spraying them on the back of wallpaper rolls with a fixative syringe. neither did my parents like that at all, because traces of my work were visible throughout the house.

Animated by the Winnetou films in the 1960s, I started drawing horses, cowboys and Indians.
During this time my wish arose to study graphic design. Studied at GH Kassel, specializing in free and applied graphics, printing techniques
with a degree in 1978.

most of my drawings, photos and prints (linoleum and lithography) were made during my studies.
after my studies i worked as an industrial designer for 1 year. 1979 move to Bad Homburg.
until 1983 i worked as a graphic designer in 2 agencies in the greater Frankfurt area (clients: u.a.Braun, Milupa). from 1984 i worked at Siemens Company as a media designer.
My space: (training documents, technical descriptions, later web design).

1986 permanent employment at Siemens AG. I also worked for Rowenta, Messer-Griesheim and other well-known companies in the greater Frankfurt area.
airbrush was added as a new design technique.

until 2009 artistic break due to work overload.
1983-1986 participation in the art exhibitions of the city of Rodgau with old works.
From 2009 (I am in the passive partial retirement) I started my artistic work with a focus on pencil and colored pencil drawings (caricatures and portraits).
